Kara
Well, I spent the last 4 days in Knoxville hanging out with my sister in a hospital room. She was officially diagnosed with a relapse Friday afternoon and was in the hospital that night to start a new chemo regimen. She'll do 1 more round (5 days in the hospital) in 3-4 weeks and then do another scan. Then it will be time to head over to Vanderbilt or MDAnderson in Houston for a stem cell transplant. She'll be in the hospital for a month. It will be a tough recovery because her immune system will be zapped to nothing. She has a better attitude this time around and says "dying is not an option." Everyone keep her in your prayers!

Katina,
I've got to get your cell phone number tomorrow when I come for lessons. I've thought about you guys often and prayed for her repeatedly. I know that this must be a difficult time, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I wanted to text you the other day to say hello, but haven't had any chance to get your number. Make sure I have it on Thursday! :)
I'm sure it is on that class list but since my computer died taking everything with it...I've even lost that. ARGH! :)
She is also in my thoughts and prayers even though I said "you" I meant "both of you." Whoops.
Leah, remind me to give it to you. I don't think it's on the class list. I am a texting fool!
I hope her attitude continues to be positive. I think that makes a huge difference. Thanks for the prayers!
It has to help that she is strong willed about pulling through and in good spirits. I know that this has to be tough on the family--that goes without saying. But you are always welcome to use us in any way. We'd be happy, happy, happy to help if we can. Taking the kids to school, having them over for an afternoon, and Harrison is always welcome (as is Madison and Carter, of course) to come stay a night if you just need some time to think, pray, cry, etc. If we could see all pieces of the puzzle, like God does, it would all make perfect sense. But since we can't, we just have to hold to His promise that He is in total control. I will be praying and available if I can help in any other way.
I'm praying for Kara daily! Love ya Katina!!
Praying for you both. We are also here if you need help with the kids in any way.
